Event description

NHS Health Scotland, Scottish Government and Architecture Design Scotland hosted the Place Standard Alliance on the 5th of December at Surgeons’ Hall in Edinburgh.

The interactive part of the day allowed participants the opportunity to either discuss using the place standard tool as part of daily practice in spatial planning and the built environment, or to share ideas on how we can make improvements to the Place Standard tool based on lessons learned to date. The discussions will be written up and shared with participants and also used to inform the next stages of the implementation programme.

Cathy Johnston from Glasgow City Council chaired the event and we were  joined by Ian Gilzean, Chief Architect at Scottish Government , who updated on progress with the Planning Review.
