This study assessed the impact of MUP on products and prices in the Scottish off-trade.

Data was obtained from three market research companies: NielsenIQ, Knowledge Gaps and Sales Out. Analysis was descriptive and focused on the effect of MUP on prices and outcomes related to the range of alcoholic drink products (such as container sizes).

Most of these analyses involved comparison with data from England and Wales, where MUP had not been introduced.
