This leaflet is one of a series designed to support health workers to work effectively with the victims of gender-based violence (GBV) in line with NHS Scotland and Scottish Government policy. It covers how to identify and respond to adults who have experienced rape and/or sexual assault.
This guidance explains the nature of rape and sexual assault and their impact on health. It also covers how staff can identify and respond to those experiencing current or historical abuse.
