Description

Update 16 March 2021: Since this report was published, Public Health Scotland has received updated off-trade alcohol retail sales data. We have therefore produced revised per-adult alcohol sales estimates and reassessed the impact of MUP on alcohol sales, using these updated data. You can find the revised estimates here: http://www.healthscotland.scot/publications/using-alcohol-retail-sales-data-to-estimate-population-alcohol-consumption-in-scotland-an-update-of-previously-published-estimates

This study looks at the impact of minimum unit pricing (MUP) for alcohol that came into effect in Scotland in 2018. The report assesses the impact of MUP on population level alcohol consumption at one year post-MUP.
