NHS Health Scotland, the Scottish Government and Architecture Design Scotland hosted the second Place Standard Alliance Event on the 6th of June in The Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.
The event brought together spatial planners from both development planning and development management to hear from key speakers about recent practice. Illustrating how the use of the Place Standard tool can help closer alignment with Community Planning and support planning's role in creating better places.
The key note speaker was John McNairney, Head of Planning and Architecture Division in Scottish Government. During the day delegates also heard about the experiences of organisations who have already used the place standard in community and spatial planning
